A farmer is sitting on his porch one morning when a little boy walks by with a huge coil of barbed wire. The farmer calls the boy over and asks what he's doing with the wire. The boy responds, "This here is chicken wire. Gonna catch me some chickens." The farmer scoffs, but at the end of the day, the boy walks back the other way with a bunch of chickens wrapped up in the wire.

The next day the boy walks by with  huge roll of tape. The farmer asks him what he's up to NOW and the boy responds, "This is duck tape! Gonna catch some ducks." The farmer rolls his eyes, but don't you know, the boy comes back that evening trailing ducks wrapped in tape.

The third day, the boy walks by with some long reeds. The farmer asks what the reeds are, and the boy responds that they're pussy willow. The farmer responds, "Hold on son, I'll get my hat."
