EU Directive Madness

November 5, 2009 00:41 by

Compare and Contrast:

Pythagoras - His theorem used                  24 words

The Lords Prayer                                      66 words

Archimedes Principle                                67 words

The Ten Commandments                        179 words

The above were all world-changing events.

But our new EU Directive for the sale of cabbages, (yes my friends, bloody cabbages!!) amounts to, wait for it, twenty six thousand, two hundred and fifty three words. 26,253!

Garlic Warning: You are what you eat!

October 11, 2009 22:52 by

For years Doctors and scientists have told us that some foods are good for us  only to be told later that they are bad for us.  Again they tell us that some foods are bad for us, and all the time they've been good for us and there doesn't seem to be much proof either way to suggest what is good or bad ............ until now that is.

Garlic is definitely BAD for us

"You Are, What You Eat" as proven by the following photo:

Now that’s clever: Will return clock

Available for about $11.00 here. Brilliant concept for Store Owners and Shopkeepers. The clock is set 15 minutes forward, so you’re never late!

Boat Launching Procedures

September 16, 2009 08:47 by

I just bought a new boat and decided to take 'er for
the maiden voyage this past weekend.

This is my first boat and I wasn't quite sure of the exact
Standard  Operating Procedures for launching it off
a ramp, but I figured it couldn't be too hard.

I consulted my local boat dealer for advice, but they
just said "don't let the trailer get too deep when you
are trying to launch the Boat".

Well, I don't know what they meant by that as I could
barely get the trailer in the  water at all!

Anyhow, here's a picture attached. See for yourself. What am I doing wrong?
